Which standards are common for rebar?

Common references include ASTM A615 for carbon steel deformed and plain bars, ASTM A706 for low-alloy deformed and plain bars, BS 4449, EN 10080, ISO 6935-2, GB/T 1499.2, JIS G3112 and AS/NZS 4671.

How are rebar grades compared across markets?

Grades are not matched by name alone. Yield strength, ductility class, chemical limits, bend test, weldability and local code requirements must be checked before treating Grade 60, B500B, HRB400 or 500N as equivalents.

Can rebar be supplied in straight bars and coils?

Straight deformed bars are the main supply form for reinforcing bar. Coil or spool supply may be discussed for smaller diameters or local processing routes when the standard and project requirements allow it.
