Steel Plate & Sheet
Pressure Vessel & Boiler Steel Plate
Himount supplies pressure vessel and boiler steel plate for boilers, storage tanks, heat exchangers and pressure equipment projects requiring controlled inspection and certification.
Product Overview
Pressure Vessel & Boiler Steel Plate
Pressure vessel and boiler steel plate is used for welded pressure equipment where material traceability, chemical composition, mechanical properties, heat treatment and inspection records matter. Himount supports common international RFQs for ASTM A516, ASTM A285, EN 10028-2 and GB 713 plate grades used in boilers, tanks, heat exchangers, separators and pressure vessel shells. This product page is separate from general structural plate because pressure equipment orders usually require stricter certification, testing and project specification review.

Typical Applications
- Boilers and pressure vessel shells
- Storage tanks and process vessels
- Heat exchangers and separators
- Oil, gas, chemical and power equipment
- Fabricated parts requiring pressure vessel quality plate
Procurement Notes
- Confirm the governing code and project specification before quotation because vessel plate orders may require impact testing, UT, heat treatment and third-party witness.
- Do not replace pressure vessel plate with ordinary structural plate unless the buyer specification formally approves the substitution.
- For A516 Gr.70 or Q345R orders, confirm normalized condition, thickness range, impact requirement, certificate language and inspection authority early.

Common standards, grades and RFQ terms
These terms reflect common international RFQ language. Final supply must follow the ordered standard edition, pressure equipment code, project specification, MTC, inspection plan and agreed contract terms.
Buyer FAQ
Questions buyers usually confirm before order
Is A516 Gr.70 the same as ordinary carbon plate?
No. A516 Gr.70 is a pressure vessel quality plate grade. It is ordered with specific mechanical, chemical, certification and often heat treatment or impact requirements.
When is normalized delivery required?
Normalized delivery depends on the standard, thickness, grade and project requirement. Buyers should state normalized or normalized rolled condition clearly in the RFQ.
What inspection details are important?
Confirm MTC level, heat number traceability, impact test temperature, UT class, third-party inspection, heat treatment record, marking and packing requirements before contract.
Can GB 713 grades replace ASTM or EN grades?
Only if the project specification or buyer engineer approves the equivalence. Pressure equipment projects should not rely on informal grade matching.
