Steel Coil & Coated Strip
Prepainted & Roofing Steel
Himount supplies PPGI, PPGL, prepainted steel coil and roofing sheet for building envelopes, panels and color coated products, with ASTM A755, EN 10169, JIS G3312 and GB/T 12754 references.
Product Overview
Prepainted & Roofing Steel
Himount supplies prepainted galvanized steel coil, prepainted galvalume steel coil, color coated steel sheet and profiled roofing sheet for building envelopes, wall panels, roofing systems, sandwich panels, garage doors and light fabrication. PPGI refers to prepainted galvanized steel substrate, while PPGL refers to prepainted galvalume or Al-Zn coated substrate. Roofing sheet is a downstream profiled product, so coil substrate, paint system and profile drawing should be confirmed separately.

Typical Applications
- Roofing and wall cladding systems
- Sandwich panels and building envelopes
- Garage doors, shutters and ceilings
- Home appliance and interior panels
- Color coated profiles and light fabrication
Procurement Notes
- Confirm whether the order is PPGI or PPGL before quotation because the metallic substrate is different.
- For roofing sheets, provide profile drawing, effective width, wave height, sheet length, overlap method and packing requirement.
- For outdoor use, confirm paint system, UV/corrosion class, back paint, protective film and warranty requirement where applicable.

Buyer FAQ
Questions buyers usually confirm before order
What is the difference between PPGI and PPGL?
PPGI uses galvanized steel as the metallic-coated substrate. PPGL uses galvalume or Al-Zn coated steel as the substrate. The corrosion behavior, coating designation and order terms are different.
Is roofing sheet the same as prepainted coil?
No. Prepainted coil is the flat coil substrate. Roofing sheet is a downstream profiled product made from coil, so profile drawing, effective width and length must be confirmed.
Which paint system should be selected?
PE is common for general use, while SMP, HDP and PVDF are selected for higher weathering, UV or durability requirements. Final choice depends on project exposure and budget.
What should be confirmed for color matching?
Confirm RAL code or approved sample, gloss, topcoat/backcoat thickness, primer, protective film, acceptable color tolerance and inspection method.
