Where heat exchanger tube is specified
For U-bent tubes, confirm straight length before bending, bend radius, leg length tolerance, heat treatment after bending, bundle layout, protection and whether hydrotest or pneumatic test is required after bending.
Heat exchanger tubes are not quoted by shape alone. Media, temperature, pressure, corrosion allowance, tube sheet design, inspection class and local code decide whether carbon, alloy or stainless material is suitable.
