Pipe Fittings & Flanges

Steel Pipe Flanges

Forged and machined flanges for pressure piping, pipeline, valve and equipment connections.

Product Overview

Pressure-rated flange supply for project pipe packages

Himount supplies steel pipe flanges for carbon steel, low-temperature carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel and duplex piping projects. Each order is reviewed by standard, flange type, material grade, pressure class or PN rating, nominal size, bore or pipe schedule, facing, heat treatment, machining tolerance, coating, inspection scope, marking, packing and destination.

Key Specifications

Product formsWelding neck, slip-on, blind, socket weld, threaded, lap joint, plate, orifice, spectacle blind and special flanges by approved drawing.
Primary standardsASME B16.5, ASME B16.47 Series A / Series B, EN 1092-1, JIS B2220, GB and project piping specifications.
Common materialsASTM A105/A105N, ASTM A350 LF2/LF3, ASTM A182 F304/F304L/F316/F316L/F11/F22/F51/F53 and ASTM A694 F42/F52/F60/F65/F70.
Size and ratingASME B16.5 covers NPS 1/2 to NPS 24; ASME B16.47 covers large diameter NPS 26 to NPS 60. Common ratings include Class 150, 300, 600, 900, 1500 and 2500, with EN PN ratings by order.
Facing and boreRaised face, flat face, ring type joint, tongue and groove, male and female or special facing; bore and hub dimensions are matched to pipe schedule, drawing or project specification.
Inspection and testsDimensional inspection, drilling and bolt-hole alignment, facing finish, material traceability, heat treatment records, PMI for alloy or stainless grades, hardness, NDT, MTC and packing inspection as required.

Typical Applications

Where steel pipe flanges are specified

Pressure piping and plantsRefinery, petrochemical, chemical, power, water treatment and utility piping systems where valves, equipment and pipe spools require bolted connections.
Pipeline and terminal projectsPipeline stations, tank farms, metering skids, pump stations and large diameter pipe packages using ASME B16.5, B16.47 or project-specific flange requirements.
Stainless and low-temperature serviceLNG support, low-temperature systems, corrosion-control piping and process lines where LF2, A182 stainless, duplex or alloy grades are required.
Rating and facing note

Nominal size is not enough for a flange quotation. The same NPS or DN can have different drilling, thickness, facing and bore when pressure class, PN rating or standard changes.

Material and certification note

Carbon, low-temperature, stainless, alloy and duplex grades are not interchangeable. Confirm material standard, heat treatment, MTC level, PMI and any project approval list before production.

Buyer FAQ

Questions to settle before quotation

What information is needed for a steel pipe flange RFQ?

Confirm standard, pressure class or PN rating, flange type, material grade, nominal size, bore or pipe schedule, facing, surface finish, coating, heat treatment, inspection level, quantity and destination.

Which standards are common for steel pipe flanges?

Common references include ASME B16.5 for pipe flanges and flanged fittings, ASME B16.47 for large diameter steel flanges, EN 1092-1 for PN-designated steel flanges and project specifications.

How should facing and pressure class be specified?

The RFQ should state RF, FF, RTJ or other facing together with ASME class or EN PN rating. Nominal diameter alone is not enough because drilling, thickness, facing and bore depend on the ordered standard and rating.

Can flanges be supplied with coating and special inspection?

Anti-rust oil, black paint, galvanized coating, epoxy, PMI, ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, hardness checks and third-party inspection can be arranged when the inspection plan is confirmed before order placement.
